Dear Sooke River Bluegrass Festival Supporters,
In June of 2010, we closed our 10th year with one of the most successful festivals ever. The attendees, jam sessions, and bands were notably some of our very best to date.
Unfortunately, we regret that we are unable to continue the festival at the Sooke Flats in 2011. Increased demands from the venue’s owner exceeded our society’s financial and operational capacity.
We want to thank everyone who has supported the festival over the years and helped to make the Sooke River Bluegrass Festival a special community event. The Sooke River Bluegrass Festival Society will continue to function and support local bluegrass, and we are actively seeking new venue possibilities for future events.
